Denver Dumb Friends League | Pet Photography

Well, here’s something I haven’t given much thought to beyond my own four-legged friends! I once checked into volunteering at the Denver Dumb Friends League, but the required hours didn’t fit with my schedule at the time. While chatting with a couple ladies from DDFL at Chuck & Don’s Pet Food Outlet today, I mentioned that I was a photographer. They said they absolutely need photographers, and that the time requirement is only three hours per week for the first six months, and then you can continue to work three hours or work more if you can. I think three hours is plenty!

I happened to have my camera with me (of course), so I captured some of the cuteness happening there!

This is Homer. He’s still a young puppy…

And this is CoCo. He’s a little older – DDFL thinks about 1.5, but he seems closer to 3 to me. Maybe because he’s so laid back. I’m thinking he could be a Morkie. :D

When I was in 5th grade (or is it proper to say in the 5th grade?), I either wanted to be a veterinarian or a writer. Well, I guess I am writing. :) I can settle for photographing animals as a past-time. I’m intrigued! Could this possibly be something for me to do on my Thursdays off with school back in session?
